Today’s Gratitude Item: That our memorial day for Queen Elizabeth does not interfere with our senior exams! The fact that in New Zealand it coincides with the first day of Rosh HaShana just shows that the almighty has a sense of humour. I was hoping it would be on Friday 23rd (which would have given me a five day weekend with the Chaggim) – life being life, we all get to take Monday 26th off.
