Today’s Gratitude Item: That ‘my’ posters are finally ready. The posters in question are a series which say ‘Comment Your Code’ and show students how to comment their code in a range of languages. The cool thing about these posters is that whilst I designed them, the University of Canterbury have agreed to print and distribute them to Computer Science teachers around the country. Naturally they now have Canterbury University’s branding on them which is not a problem. Said posters will be sent to me in the near future – I can’t wait to see how they turned out and to put them up in my classroom. This will make life a lot easier as when kids don’t comment their code, I’ll be able to simply point to the posters!
