Today’s Gratitude Item: No ‘trick or treaters’! My handmade “Halloween Free Zone’ signs that were tied to our gates worked perfectly. I’ve always hated Halloween as it celebrates fear, death and evil. Shouldn’t we be encouraging our young people to look beyond themselves and care about their communities? What message does dressing them up in scary costumes and enabling them to blackmail complete strangers send?
