The ‘inverted’ / dark version did not look great so a more subtle approach was required.

Today’s Gratitude Item: One of my dancers was back in class after a trip overseas. She gave me one of the nicest key rings that I have ever seen which was a lovely gesture and an totally unexpected surprise. Almost as good is the fact that the key ring has cultural significance to me (but not to most New Zealanders) – this means that I can use it as an example of ‘good design’ which is specific to a certain cultural group (this is something which will be really helpful for my 12th grade class).
