Had fun with the ‘knot work’ background.

Today’s Gratitude Item: A mystery being solved. A while back one of my students complained that I had not taught them about two dimensional arrays. He did not recognise that a ‘list within a list’ is a two dimensional array (ie: the work had been well covered in class) and I was wondering where he got the notion of 2D arrays from. It turns out that his dad is a rather ‘involved’ parent who is able to program. Now the trick is to figure out how much of his recent assessment is his work and how much is his dad’s. A meeting may well be in order.
