Today’s Gratitude Item: Finally figuring out how to boot Windows 8 in ‘safe mode’ (the ‘magic’ sequence was to hold down ‘shift’ and click restart). One of my students had a weird problem where she updated her machine last night and then the screen started flickering and we could not do anything on it. Hopefully restoring to an earlier point has worked.
