In any class or group, there is always at least "one" who has to be different from everyone else. I’ve yet to be convinced that this is a good thing. Those who teach perfect classes with that "one" challenging student will know exactly what I mean. Of course sometimes there is more than just "one" so I probably should not complain too much.

Today’s Gratitude Item: That my cereal / ratio experiment went well. My students managed to calculate the ratio of chocolate : vanilla flakes in a popular cereal. They also enjoyed eating the cereal when they were done counting. Just goes to show that at least some of the time, Maths can be fun.
