Today’s Gratitude Item: Google Maps. Doing “mapwork” with students is so much easier now. Before, when we wanted them to investigate New Zealand’s offshore islands, we’d give them an atlas and they had to find the place (which is quite boring). Now we get them to look up the place on google maps and then find information about that place – which is a lot more fun.
