Turns out that there are quite a few Lourie species in sub Saharan Africa. I’ve been privileged to see the Knysna Louries (green) and the more common Gray Lourie first hand. In fact, we used to get Gray Louries visiting our garden from time to time. They have a very distinctive call and are sometimes called "Go Away" birds.

Today’s Gratitude Item: Making progress on my Statistics study. I’m doing this extramural paper and finding the time to work through the course is a constant challenge. Managed to get a fair bit done today, but it took ages.
