Are these diamonds forever?

Today’s Gratitude Item: Finally getting the correct rebate for the compulsory student services levy for the single university paper that I will be doing this year. The levy started at $397.50, then dropped to $262.35 and finally after a successful appeal it settled at $131.17. Given that I can’t actually pretty much all of the services covered by the levy as the campus is in Christchurch and I’m in Auckland, having to pay it is less than ideal but at least the amount is not as excessive as it was.
