Today’s Gratitude Item: Playing with 000 Webhost and discovering that this could be a way for my students to make sure that their mail forms work correctly. One problem with using XAMPP is that it won’t send mail easily. You can check that email has been generated by looking in the ‘mail sent’ folder but it is not quite the same as seeing the solution working in the real world. There are limitations on the free service (for example a website can only generate 50 emails per day) but it is great for our purposes.
