Why is it that every second fractal looks like either fabric or ocean waves?

Today’s Gratitude Item: Kahoot! It’s a website where teachers can create a quiz and then project the questions on the screen. The kids in the class use a unique code to access the quiz from their device / smartphone and they answer the questions as they are put on the screen. Kids get points for answering quickly and correctly and after each question, it shows who is in the lead. Our junior students really love this way of doing multiple choice questions and it’s a great way to ensure that everyone in the class participates in the activity.
