For some reason looking at this one for too long makes me queasy.

Today’s Gratitude Item: Being able to use the sidewalk outside my house again. The utility company is in the process of ‘upgrading’ the broad band infrastructure which basically involves digging up large parts of the sidewalk, running various pipes / cables and *eventually* filling it back in again. For months going for a walk has involved risking life and limb and walking down the middle of the road. Now things are finally *almost* back to normal.
