Today’s Gratitude Item: Managing to get my marking *mostly* under control. The bad news is that some of the assessments were super quick to mark because the kids had not done much. Marking dodgy work can be quite frustrating – especially when it becomes clear that some kids have not taken any notice of instructions / feedback. Some submitted identical work to their first (tragic) attempts. Needless to say, marking some of the submissions was like watching a particularly gruesome train smash – in slow motion. Others were more a case of ‘please hold one while I bang my head against a wall’. Happily some did do a good job so all hope is not *yet* lost.
