A bit different from my “usual” offerings, but I like it.

Today’s Gratitude Item: Discovering the “Frosty” filter in GIMP (accessed by going filter –> alpha to logo –> frosty). It lets one make really nice buttons quite quickly. This was fortuitous as my students need to create some buttons for their websites in the near future and this filter will be quite helpful.
