Today’s Gratitude Item: My colleagues like my idea for “book day”. It turns out that school is having a “book day” on Monday and all the staff are supposed to dress up as characters from a book. There are a number of us in the Mathematics department who hate “dress up” and in previous years, the “costumes” (and I use the word loosely) have been extremely lame. This year, we are going all out in the “lame” department. So can anyone out there guess what we are going to do for our “costumes”? The answer will be revealed on Monday (if I remember).
