Sierpinski Surface

This one was a disappointment. It looked really promising in the preview but after a 26+ hour render, the final produce did not deliver as hoped. Its OK, but it certainly is not spectacular (the preview was).

Today’s Gratitude Item: Internet that is once again working (here’s hoping that what has been fixed, stays fixed). More importantly, getting a great view of tonight’s partial lunar eclipse. Despite being a Science teacher, this is the first time that I have seen a partial lunar eclipse in real life and it was great. I owe my dad who let me know that it would be happening tonight and would be visible in Auckland between 10:00pm and 1:00am. At around 11:30pm, over half the moon had disappeared in the earth’s shadow. We are very lucky that the cloud from earlier in the day has disappeared leaving a cool, freezing cold night and a great view of the sky.
