This is one of my personal favourites. I don’t know why 🙂

Today’s Gratitude Item: Restless turtles. At the moment my classroom is a science lab and at the back, there is a large terrarium which contains two turtles. Usually they are pretty content / quiet but the last few days they have been scratching at the glass and as if trying to make a run for it *its mating season or something*. We solved the problem (period one) by letting the turtles out, rinsing off the sand and then letting them roam around the room. It worked well. No more scratching glass sound and all students sitting in the seats and hardly moving lest the step on / squash a roaming turtle. I think the turtles were happy too. They walked around the room exploring everything and did not seem stressed at all (although it is hard to tell with turtles). A win-win solution all round.
