This one was inspired by my aversion to "the Silly Season" and the fact that so many advocate the use of fish oil capsules to cure a variety of ills. More information on Channukah can be found at the preceding link.

Today’s Gratitude Item: I am officially on holiday! The traditional blessing that is said on Chunnukah (and other once a year celebrations) has never been more apt.

Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe, who has granted us life, sustained us and enabled us to reach this occasion.

For some reason, the prayer sounds better in Hebrew. Both English and Hebrew versions are available at the preceding link.
