Simchat Torah 5770

This graphic seemed like a good way to celebrate Simchat Torah. Its dedicated to Rabbi Jeremy Lawrence who, a few years ago gave an amazing lecture summarising all 54 portions in the Torah. His mantra "12,11,10,10,11" was a great way to help us to remember how many portions come from each book. Thanks also go to my mom for suggesting the ladder as a way of getting up onto the stairs 🙂

*There are 47 "stairs" in this image – one for each week of 5770. Some "stairs" contain a double portion. The information was sourced here.

Today’s Gratitude Item: Getting a new bed. And a trip to Wellington for dance camp. And Lindt chocolate (its my birthday tomorrow). I was planning on celebrating my Hebrew birthday this year which falls on the 4th of November by my family seem to prefer my “regular” birthday. Needless to say presents are always great.
