Yom HaShoah is when we remember those who perished in the Holocaust.
This graphic aims to emphasise the humanity of those who died under the Nazi regime. The "number" is a reference both to the tattoos that were applied to prisoners of Auschwitz after 1941 and the "6 million who died during the Holocaust".
The words that are in colour all applied to my great grandfather at the time of his death in a concentration camp.
The arrangement of the words is random because people may use a number of different labels to describe themselves at any given time. The labels chosen will often depend on the situation / life stage of any given person.

Today’s Gratitude Item: That my grandparents survived the Holocaust. Obviously if they had not, I would not be here today.
Like a mural monument.
The painful side is that, outside the mural about the holocaust, there are still another 66 million people, many jewish too.
A good reminder for everyone to keep what happened in the Holocaust in their awareness. May that time never be forgotten, for all the lives that were lost, and because we should never again let man practice such cruelty over his fellow man.
I too am glad that your grandparents survived, because they have a wonderfully kind and artistic descendent.
