After being reformatted, my computer is mostly recovered. Am still going through the process of reinstalling software and putting backed up data where it belongs. Aside from losing the ability to use my right “alt” key as the windows key, things are going well.

The only “major” problem is that I managed to lose the driver for my USB serial port adapter so will probably end up buying a new adapter and using the software from that. Downloading a driver from the web did not work and actually finding the correct driver seems to be an impossible task.

Still, overall am glad to have my “baby” back. Below is a fractal to celebrate.
