Digital Daffodil

Am pleased to report that things are much better than they were yesterday. Restored relationship with my mom and my genius brother worked his magic on my computer. Flu still lingers.

Today is officially “Daffodil Day”. For those readers who are not in NZ, Daffodil Day is the main promotional and fundraising event for the Cancer Society of New Zealand.

Why Daffodils?? The official website explains:

“The daffodil was chosen because of its reputation as a hardy annual flower that can push its way through the frozen earth after a long hard winter and herald the new life and growth of spring. The Cancer Society chose the daffodil because it symbolises the struggle people have with cancer and that with research and healthier lifestyles there is hope.”
