Tisha B’Av

Today is the 9th of Av (ie: Tisha B’Av). This is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar as it is the anniversary of the destruction of both the first and second temples.

The fractal below is an attempt to commemorate those tragic events.

You always make such great memorials.

This is a great memorial, Dzeni. Although I’m not Jewish I did play one during a brief marriage so I vaguely remember the holidays. Tisha B’Av wasn’t a happy one–but there’s a lot of sad history to cover, though the days the temples were destroyed loom large.
