Shickered Star

If stars got inebriated, this is what they would look like.

Why is it that the English language, has so many different words for drunk?? Below are some of my favourites.

  • Shickered*
  • Sloshed
  • Tipsy
  • Hammered
  • Plastered
  • Totaled
  • Wasted

*Technically, this word is Yiddish but it is what we say when we mean “drunk”. Interestingly, there is an Israeli dance step called “Shicker” because it mimics the movements of a drunkard.
